Irvington Woods History Hike

We’re fortunate to partner with esteemed local historian and resident, professor, and avid outdoorsman, Neil Maher, to lead this hike in our beloved Irvington Woods.

Irvington Woods is a favorite local hiking spot in the Rivertowns, full of history (you’ll hear about Peter Oley, V.E. Macy and Roosevelt’s CCC program ties to the Woods, as well as an intriguing “Hermit of Irvington”).

Neil will share his knowledge of the history of the Woods as your group enjoys an easy hike through this off-the-beaten path spot.

Towards the end of our walk, you’ll enjoy some hot cider and donuts (or another seasonally appropriate treat) while we continue discussing what we’ve learned.
